TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-Rowlands Rd, Summerseat, Bury - from a point 115 m east of the easterly kerbline of Ashborne Dr for a distance of 100 m in a south-easterly direction
The reason for the proposed order is to locate & rebuild chambers.

The alternative route will be via Bass Lane & Walmersley Rd and vice-versa.
The proposed Order will come into operation on Sunday 15 January 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 1 day.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
Lowther Rd, Prestwich - between Brentwood Court and 50 m south of St Anns Rd The reason for the proposed order is to repair consequential damage following a leaking water main repair.

The alternative route will be via Shakespeare Rd, Scott Rd, Shelley Rd & St Anns Rd & vice-versa.

The Order comes into operation on Monday 09 January 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 days.

Bass Lane, Summerseat, Bury - full length
The reason for the proposed order is to clean & jet beany blocks.

The alternative route will be via A56 Manchester Rd, Bury New Rd, Peel Brow, Bridge St, A676 Bolton St, Bolton Rd West, Longsight Rd, Newcombe Rd, Waterside Rd, Kay St, Pollards Lane, Cliff Avenue and Crag Lane & vice-versa.

The Order comes into operation on Monday 09 January 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the anticipated duration of the works is 1 week.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-
1) Heywood Rd, Prestwich - between Perrymead & Glebelands Rd
2) Bury Old Rd, Prestwich - between Heywood Rd & Heys Rd
3) St Margaret's Rd, Prestwich - between Bury Old Rd & Polefield Rd
4) Holyrood Rd, Prestwich - between Bury Old Rd & Milton Rd
The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing.

The alternative route will be:-
1) Via Heys Rd & Polefield Rd & vice-versa
2) Via Heys Rd & Heywood Rd & vice-versa
3) Via Polefield Rd & Heywood Rd & vice-versa
4) Via Heys Rd

The Order comes into operation on Monday 09 January 2023 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is 3 weeks (night-time).
