THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA
(U5164 CARK-IN-CARTMEL AND U5431 MOSS LANE, HOLME) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable United Utilities to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:

1. U5164 Cark-in-Cartmel, from its junction with the U5165, extending in a north easterly direction for approx 1.7km to its junction with the C5041.
Alternative Route: via the C5041 and U5165.
Duration: From 9 January 2023 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTRO/2369)

2. U5431 Moss Lane, Holme from its junction with Station Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 506m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Moss Lane and Station Road.
Duration: From 23 January 2023 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTRO/2441)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

(ii) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

(iii) Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and

(iv) Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or via the Cumbria County Council website. The references to quote are detailed above.

The Order will come into operation on 9 January 2023 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
