THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA
U1113 MONKHILL ROAD, MONKHILL TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
ALL TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable William Trading Ltd to carry out drainage works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the U1113 Monkhill Road, Monkhill from its junction with the B5307 extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 95m.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the U1113, C2042, U1122 and the B5307.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and
3. Apply to personnel or vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

The Order will come into operation on 16 January 2023 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
