Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion Order Highways Act 1980
North Yorkshire County Council Public Footpath No. 10.69/14, Newton House, Huby Diversion Order 2022

The above named Order, made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, was confirmed on 25.11.22. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the Public Footpath described below. Public Footpath No. 10.69/14. From SE 5672 6576 it runs in a general west direction to SE 5647 6579, will be diverted onto a new line from SE 5671 6574 and runs generally in a west, then north, then west direction to SE 5647 6579. The new route will be between 1.8 metres and 2 metres wide on a mixture of grass and compacted earth surfaces. A copy of the order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Easingwold Community Library, Market Place, Easingwold, North Yorkshire until 3.2.23. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased from Travel, Environmental & Countryside Services, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD (tel: 01609 532512) at a cost of £2, or can be downloaded free from our website

The Order comes into force on the date on which the Authority certifies, in accordance with Section 119(3)(b) of the 1980 Act, that work to the new section of path, described in Part 2 of the Schedule, has been completed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 16.12.22, make an application to the High Court. The above named Order, made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, was confirmed on 25.11.22. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the Public Bridleway described below. Public Bridleway No. 20.17/16. From GR NZ 2843 0713 it runs in a north north east direction and then an east direction to GR NZ 2851 0731, will be diverted onto a new line from GR NZ 2843 0713 and runs in a general north north east direction to GR NZ 2851 0731. The new route will be 4 metres wide on grass, woodland and tarmac surfaces. A copy of the order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Northallerton Library, Thirsk Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire until 3.2.23.
