THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA
VARIOUS ROADS, BARROW-IN-FURNESS
CONSOLIDATION AND MINOR AMENDMENT OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS (ORDER 2001)
VARIATION ORDER (NO.42) 2022
1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 8 November 2022 it made the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 19, 32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53, 64 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The Order will come into operation on 21 November 2022 and its effect will be to: -
(a) Introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of the following in Barrow-in-Furness: -
Elizabethan Way, Elterwater Crescent, Greengate Street, Moor Tarn Lane, Oxford Street, Rear Manchester Street, Rampside Road and St Lukes Avenue, Barrow-in-Furness.
(b) Introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of the following in Dalton-in-Furness: -
Broughton Road, Hollygate Road and Nelson Street.
(c) Introduce "No Loading and Unloading and No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness outside of the Drs Surgery;
(d) Alter the extent of the existing parking restrictions to allow for the introduction of Advisory Disabled Parking Bays on the following: -
Aberdeen Street, Ainslie Street, Hartington Street, Ramsden Dock Road, Ship Street and Whitehead Street, Barrow-in-Furness;
(e) Replace the Advisory Disabled Parking Bays to statutory Disabled Parking Bays on the following: -
Aberdeen Street, Byron Street, Hartington Street, Ship Street and Whitehead Street, Barrow-in-Furness; and
(f) Remove a Disabled Parking Bay from Tyne Road, Barrow-in-Furness.

3. 4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 8 November 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
