Great Langdale, Temporary No Waiting, Loading/Unloading at any time

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS LOCATIONS ACROSS THE SOUTH LAKELAND AREA)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public as a result of inconsiderate parking causing obstructions to the general public, bus services and emergency service vehicles, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or to load/ unload at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) on the following lengths of road: -



1. U5527 Great Langdale (both sides) - From its junction with the B5343 to a point in a southerly direction to the cattle grid near Wall End Farm, approx. 640m; and
2. U5528 Great Langdale (both sides) - From its junction with the B5343 to a point 60m in a northerly direction; and
3. B5343 Great Langdale (north side) - From its junction with the U5527 to the eastern side of Stickle Ghyll Bridge; and
4. B5343 Great Langdale (south side) - From its junction with the U5527 to the eastern side of Rossett New Bridge; and
5. B5343 Great Langdale (south side) - From a point approx. 52m from the eastern side of Rossett New Bridge to the eastern side of Stickle Ghyll Bridge; and
6. B5343 Elterwater (both sides) - From a point approx. 120 m east of its junction with the U5525 for a length of 55m in an easterly direction; and
7. A591 Ambleside (both sides) - From a point 284m south of its junction with Borrans Road for a length of approx. 435m in a south easterly direction.

This follows 2 emergency notices dated 2 August 2022 and 23 August 2022.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties;
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
