The County Of Cumbria (U2422 Banklands And U2572 Mason Street, Workington) (Temporary No Waiting At Any Time And No Loading And Unloading At Any Time, Traffic Restriction) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Northern Gas Networks to carry out gas main replacements works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and from loading or unloading at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders), along the following lengths of road:
1. U2422 Banklands, Workington (both sides), from a point approx. 165 metres north of its junction with Northumberland Street, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 80m Duration: From 19 April 2022 until 20 May 2022.

2. U2572 Mason Street, Workington (both sides), from its junction with Banklands, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 150m.

Duration: From 19 April 2022 until 27 April 2022.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by
statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii)Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for
pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road,
or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from the road; and

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
