Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2022

NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order. The effect of the order will be to prohibit public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over bridleway 542041 alongside Dale End Boathouse, Grasmere Lakeshore (south) between NY 3368 0630 and NY 3372 0625, due to to enable works to take down and rebuild the boathouse. The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority, Wayfaring House, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4DQ; and at Grasmere Tourist Information Centre, Red Bank Road, Grasmere,

The order will take effect on
16 May 2022 and will continue in force for six months. Signs will be erected showing the closed path and the immediately adjacent alternative route. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
