THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U2I08 HIGH IREBY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, as a result of the dangerous condition of the road, and to enable subsequent repair works to be carried out ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the U2108 High Ireby, from its junction with the U2109, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 1.4km to its junction with the U2107.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the U2107 and U2109.

N.B. This follows 2 emergency notices dated 18 January 2022

and 8 February 2022.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road; and

The Order will come into operation on 1 March 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months, only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
