THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C600I BROUGHTON ROAD, NEAR DALTON-IN-FURNESS) (KESWICK TO BARROW CHARITY WALK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to facilitate the holding of part of the Keswick to Barrow Charity Walk ("the Event"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C600I Broughton Road, near Dalton-in-Furness, from its junction with the U6098 (near Holmes Green), extending in a southerly direction for approx. I km. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted lengths of the C600I, C6009 (Dalton-in-Furness) and A595 (Askam-in-Furness). N.B. The restriction detailed above will be conducted as a 'rolling road closure* with sections along the road being restricted one at a time, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

quoting the reference SL21/95-3 The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum period of up to three days from that date. It is anticipated that it will only be required between 1000 hours and 2030 hours on Saturday 18 September 2021 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
