THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C2086 ARKLEBY AND U2207 HIGH LORTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Sunbelt Rentals to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths ofroad:-
1. C2086 Arkleby, from its junction with the C2001 to its junction with the U2085.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2086, the BS301 and the C2001.
Duration: From 5 August 2021 for approx. 1 day (Ref: AL2I-324).
2. U2207 High Lorton, from its junction with the U2I99, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 340 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U2207, the B5292, B5289 and the U2199.

Duration: From 11 August 2021 for approx. 1 day (Ref: AL2I-342)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by
statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
(ii)Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(iii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for
pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road,
or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from the road; and

The Order will come into operation on 5 August 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
