THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (C2008 DEARHAM RAILWAY BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable QTS Group to carry out works for the removal of vegetation along with bridge repair works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the C2008 Dearham, for a distance of approx. 30metres either side of the centre line of Dearham Railway Bridge.
A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C2008, A596, Ellenborough Road, Maryport Road, Central Road and Main Street. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency personnel and emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to personnel and vehicles being used in connection with the Works.

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2020 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 nights between 2200 hours and 0600 hours each night and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
