THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (FOOTPATH NO.406006 IN THE PARISH OF EGREMONT AND FOOTPATH OFF BAYBARROW ROAD, EGREMONT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Volker Stevin to carry out works in relation to the construction of Whangs Beck embankments ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Footpath;
1. Footpath leading from the junction with the U427I Baybarrow Road, Egremont extending in an easterly then north easterly direction for a total distance of approx. 110m; and

2. A 3metre section of Public Footpath No.406006 in the Parish of Egremont between Grid References: 300251 510798 and 300248510799.
Alternative Route: Pedestrians will be directed onto the footpath on the opposite side of Baybarrow Road.

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads.

The Order will come into operation on 28 September 2020 and may continue in force for a period of up to six months from that date as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
