The Church Commissioners have prepared a draft scheme providing for the sale of the closed church building of Croglin St John the Baptist and part of the churchyard for use as a single residential dwelling. A copy of the draft Scheme may be inspected at Penrith Library, St Andrew’s Churchyard, Penrith CA11 7AY and at Lazonby Library Link, Henderson Buildings, Lazonby CA10 1BG. You may also access the draft Scheme on the Commissioners’ website from the link to draft schemes online at www.churchofengland.org/consultation or obtain or inspect a copy during normal office hours at the Church Commissioners’ office by applying to Norman Bilsborough. Large print and/or audio copies are available on request. A drop-in session will take place on Monday 2 March 2020 at Croglin Village Hall, Croglin between 4pm and 7pm at which a member of the Commissioners’ staff and the proposed purchasers will be available to answer any questions those attending may have about the proposals.
