THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U1056 NAWORTH, CI035 HOW, U1191 BROADWATH and C1027 GREAT CORBY LEVEL CROSSINGS NEAR CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U1056 NAWORTH, CI035 HOW, U1191 BROADWATH and C1027 GREAT CORBY LEVEL CROSSINGS NEAR CARLISLE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Network Rail to carry out level crossing works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles and pedestrians) from proceeding along the following lengths of road:-

1. UI056 Naworth Level Crossing near Brampton, approx. 250m south of its junction with the A69, extending in a southerly direction for approx 50m, over the level crossing.



A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the UI056, A59 and A689.

Duration: From 6 August 2019 for approx. one night between 2200 hours and 0600 hours. Reference: C348

2. CI035 How Level Crossing near Hayton, from its junction with the U1197, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 50m, over the level crossing.



A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the CI035, CI026, Ul 195, Ul 196 and Ul 197.

Duration: From 7 August 2019 for approx. one night between 2200 hours and 0600 hours. Reference: C374

3. Ul 191 Broadwath Level Crossing near Great Corby, approx 200m south east of its junction with the Ul 192, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 80m, over the level crossing. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the Ul 191, U1192 and the CI026.



Duration: From 8 August 2019 for approx. one night between 2200 hours and 0600 hours. Reference: C349

4. CI027 Corby Gates Level Crossing, Great Corby, from a point approx. 40m north of its junction with Woodlands, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 50m, over the level crossing.



A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the CI027, CI026 and theA69.

Duration: From 17 August 2019 for approx. two nights between the hours of 2300 hours and 0530 hours. Reference: C381

Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

The Order will come into operation on 6 August 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required as detailed above.
