Union chief gets grand tour of Sellafield site

A FACT-FINDING mission took a union chief to the Sellafield site last week.
Prospect’s new deputy general secretary, Garry Graham, and parliamentary campaign and media officer, Parmjit Dhanda, visited west Cumbria to find out more about the operations of the site.
They were given a close-up view of the complexity and enormity of the site and were clearly impressed at the scale of the operations on such a huge but compact site.
Peter Clements, Sellafield branch president said: “It was good to see two high-profile Prospect officials visiting the site to meet the representatives and learn more about the industry and the issues it faces.”
Meetings were also held between the union representatives and site management.
