Parents join battle to rid our streets of dog dirt

PARENTS have joined the war against dog fouling.
It isn't acceptable at all, as isn't litter on our streets of any kind. I trust this initiative will educate children and parents to bin waste of any kind.
Dog fouling in Barrow is appalling.
As a regular visitor to the town I can honestly say it is the worst I have seen in any town I visit. I have found it particularly bad walking along the whole length of Channelside (from Dock museum as far as along to the old slag bank). Walney is also very bad in certain areas. I think there should be a poster blitz to say "DO NOT ALLOW YOUR DOG TO FOUL THE PAVEMENT OR THERE WILL BE A £1,000 FINE" Once a couple of dog owners have been fined and word gets around the problem will soon stop. More of the red bins needed too.How can any dog owner think this is acceptable.

Investment to increase capacity at Carlisle’s Lanes shopping centre is on the cards following a change of ownership.
