DISRUPTION caused by the overturning of a lorry carrying around 200 beef carcasses through Ulverston lasted until late on Friday.

The wagon, which was hauling a load of 30 tonnes, flipped over on the Tank Square roundabout at 2.55pm.

It happened on Brewery Street, as the lorry headed eastbound out of Ulverston.

The incident happened next to the police station and officers were quick to arrive on the scene.

A spokesman for Ulverston police said the male driver of the lorry, which came from the Derbyshire area, suffered no injuries.
