Carlisle Racecourse has appointed two new business development executives.
Helen Mackie, 48, formerly of the Marriott hotel chain, and Lianne (corr) Morrow, 28, who has worked for the former Hoopers department store in Carlisle, Smiths at Gretna Green Hotel and Stobart Biomass, have both joined the business, in Durdar Road, Blackwell.
They have been charged with pushing the businesses offering in the conferencing market including weddings and Christmas party nights and build on its unique hospitality offers.
General manager Geraldine McKay said: “Helen and Lianne are great assets for the racecourse as we continue to build our offer and push deeper into conferencing as well as making sure we have top quality wedding and hospitality packages.
“They’ve got great experience in sales and customer service and we are already seeing the benefits in the business.”
Jockey Club trainee general manager Molly Dingwall is also training at the racecourse for six months
