Keswick's Back Bar has retained their Cask Marque Award for its beer and cellar management.
This was awarded by the independent Cask Marque Trust, made up of assessors and qualified brewers, who check cask ales on sale for temperature, appearance, aroma and taste.
Dale Pitchers, deputy general manager for the Back Bar and parent establishment Inn on the Square, both of which are in Market Square, said: “We are all very proud to maintain the cask marque status, the accolade reflects all the hard work that our team has put into maintaining this award.”
“We currently have two local ales available; English Pale Ale and Cumberland Ale, we source all of our ales from local companies such as Keswick Brewing Co. and Jennings Brewery. Pop in throughout July as we are looking to introduce a further two ales, Wainwright is always a popular option amongst walkers, so I’m sure that will make an appearance.”
