Cumbrian self-catering agency Heart of the Lakes has received Quality Accredited Agency Status (QAA) with national tourism group VisitEngland.
The company - why has operations in Ambleside and Keswick - has been providing accommodation in the Lake District National Park for over 42 years.
Managers decided to take part in the scheme because of the changing demands of consumers by becoming a part of the national accreditation scheme.
Julian Cottell, quality services manager, said: “We are proud to announce that we are a Visit England Quality Accredited Agency, a nationally recognised standard that focuses on quality and service.
"The award assures our customers and cottage owners receive a consistent and high level of service from holiday bookings to the daily management of our owner’s properties."
"Anyone who has been through the process for QAA certification will know that it takes a lot of hard work, time and commitment to obtain," he added.
