The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has launched its 2017 Supply Chain Event.

This is the largest of its kind in Europe and will take place in Manchester on Thursday, November 2.

The event is designed to showcase suppliers from and promote opportunities within the nuclear industry.

It will also feature the NDA Estate Supply Chain Awards, which recognise outstanding contributions to the NDA’s nuclear clean-up mission.

David Peattie, NDA chief executive, will address delegates and presentations from industry experts will also feature as part of the day.

Ron Gorham, the NDA’s head of supply chain optimisation and SME champion, said: “A strong, dynamic supply chain is critical to the success of the NDA’s mission and our annual event continues to be an extremely successful way of building relationships with suppliers and attracting new suppliers into the industry.

“The UK has unrivalled expertise in nuclear decommissioning and our suppliers play a pivotal role in pioneering innovative decommissioning technologies. More than 3,500 businesses currently supply goods and services across the NDA estate - 2,000 of these are SMEs.”

Entries for the awards are now open.
