‘When Tony Bullock, of Armstrong Watson asked me to get involved I was very happy that he asked me to be part of this experience.

“Tony and Armstrong Watson have been involved with UK Industrial Tapes more or less since we set the business up in 1997.

“Tony knows our business inside out and is a great asset, help and support to the management team at UKIT.

“Armstrong Watson is a great business and all the staff are great to work with.

“Helen is a very talented artist. I thoroughly enjoyed the sitting. We had a great time. We discussed many topics and put the world to rights.

“Everyone from the CN Group was very professional and efficient, making the experience run very

smoothly from start to finish.”

Helen says: “I am interested in adding narrative elements to my portraits and there are a couple in Brian’s.

“If you look, you can spot the tape, piled up at the side of him, and behind him on a poster a tiny image of Alex Ferguson applauds.

“Like several other sitters, Brian managed to be extremely friendly and also keep an eye on work - it just shows how much you can get done while also being very personable. While I was drawing him, he also managed to organise a whole set of tasks and decisions, and even organise some decorating work.”
