Cumbrian business leaders have been invited to put their names forward for a national awards scheme.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched its annual Director of the Year Awards to find the North West's most inspiring and pioneering leaders.

Categories include Director of the Year of a Family Business, Corporate Social Responsibility Director and the Start-Up Director of the Year.

Regional IoD director Claire Ebrey said: “We really are rich in amazing leaders from all sectors across the north west and the Isle of Man, and this event impresses me year on year, as we are introduced to more inspirational people.

“I really would encourage anyone with a great business story to tell to apply; it’s free to enter our awards as we want 2019 to be our biggest and best celebration of great work in the region.”

Regional winners will automatically go on to the national final at the IoD national awards in London in October 2019.

Entries for the 2019 Director of the Year awards can be made via the IoD website, with nominations closing in December.
