A new graduate surveyor has been appointed at H&H Land and Property.

Katie Proctor is joining the company’s team at its Carlisle office.

A former pupil of Queen Elizabeth High School in Hexham, she recently graduated from Harper Adams University and with a BSc (Hons) in rural enterprise and land management.

Impressing the team while working for H&H Land and Property during her placement year from university, Colin Tomlinson, managing director, said: “We are pleased to welcome Katie to the H&H Land and Property team.

"She has truly impressed us with her grasp of agriculture and the rural property market, and she will be a superb asset to the team as we continue to develop out business across the North of England and Scottish Borders."

Katie will support two key members of the Carlisle team, Craig Brough and Tracey Jackson, working on valuations, BPS, property sales and letting, AMC applications, compensation claims, landlord and tenant matters and mapping.

Katie is from a farming family, who own an arable farm at Berwick-upon-Tweed and a stock farm near Hexham, where she was brought up.

She is an active eventer and a team member of the South Northumberland Pony Club and has competed at national level in Pony Club championships.

Outside of work, she has a keen interest in the history of British houses and estates.

Katie said: “I am very excited to work for H&H Land and Property and return to the company in this graduate position. I have knowledge in areas of land and farming.

"This is my first step on the land agency path and I very much look forward to the forthcoming journey.”

Currently studying to be a member of the CAAV and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Katie will also be given the opportunity to learning a range of additional skills to back up her work in the sales and lettings of rural land and property, agricultural scheme applications and GIS mapping.
