Two of Cumbria’s best known holiday letting companies have joined forces.
Lakelovers, based in Windermere, and Heart of the Lakes – which has its head office in Ambleside – have come together to form an agency with over 900 properties available for holiday let.
The two businesses have been involved in the holiday letting business in Cumbria for over 40 years.
The businesses will continue to operate under their own brands from their existing bases, with the same managers and teams in place.
Heart of the Lakes owners Peter and Sue Jackson plan retire and step back from taking an active role in the business.
They will continue to be engaged in an advisory role.
Their son Chris will remain involved, with grandson Dominic also active in a marketing role.
