Madness gig at Carlisle Racecourse cancelled

Tonight's concert by Madness at Carlisle Racecourse has been cancelled.

Have your say

In complete agreement with J, brilliant night in Carlisle last night, everywhere was bouncing! Still gutted about missing Madness though.

Ok so the Races may have been cancelled and yes we were disappointed but Carlisle pubs and clubs were packed as a result last night, cracking atmosphere, excellent night :)

All I can say is Thank the lord for that we have had enough madness up here as it is, let them stay where they are and leave us in peace in the rain.

More than 130 people have died in Russia due to flooding and we're complaining because madness and the racing have been cancelled...

I don't know if anyone was aware, but the racecourse website stated that there was to be no firework show after the concert this year. I guess Stobarts must be feeling the pinch. What a shame. Without the fireworks, it's hardly a festival - just a race meeting and a band. Hopefully, they'll change their minds next year - and I bet the tickets weren't any cheaper.

Who cares about madness or the races. We had a fab day over the border at Annan riding of the marches. And it was FREE!!!

I know it's a "Grey Day" for all who bought tickets and even an "Embarrasment" but even the race course owners can't dictate the "Sun and the Rain" but maybe they should have planned ahead and booked the full weekend because "tomorrow is just another day" the "Bed and breakfast man" could have stayed at the guest house in the middle of "our street" and could have taken the opportunity for "Time for Tea".I've heard when they reschedule they are going to get a famous dignetory like "Uncle Sam" or a "Prince" but all depends if they can catch the "last boat from Cairo" because they are rumours it's been fully booked in advance by "Isrealites". To be honest I'm surprised nobody has had a "Cardiac Arrest" over the "Shame and Scandal" but the concert will go ahead on "One Better Day" "In the City". So by the grace of a "Wings of a Dove" "It must be love" why we want to see "Madness". And for all those complaining just "Shut Up".
