Kim Inglis to host CN Group Business Awards

Broadcaster Kim Inglis will host this year’s CN Group Business Awards.
The Wigton-based journalist has been confirmed as compere for the awards evening at Rheged, Penrith, in October.
The former Border Television presenter, born in Cockermouth, will be announcing the winners on the night.
She began her career as a reporter and presenter with Border in Carlisle before moving on to ITV Tyne Tees, where she worked for more than 13 years, fronting the flagship 6pm news programme and other shows.
The mum-of-two, now a freelance continuing to do work for ITV as well as the BBC and Sky, has also presented This Morning with Philip Schofield.
She is no stranger to our business awards, having previously hosted the presentation in 2009.
Marie Whitehead, of organiser CN Events, is delighted Kim has signed up to return to the event.
She said: “We’ve been delighted by the response so far to this year’s business awards and impressed by the standard of entries we have received. With so many of the key players from Cumbrian commerce expected at the presentation night, it is vital we have a host whose expertise meets the high standards they expect.
“Kim certainly fits that bill. She has presented television shows in front of massive audiences.
“Having her on stage is sure to add to the occasion as we announce our winners and celebrate the best of business in Cumbria.”
