He will be answering questions in a live session here between 12noon and 1pm today (Monday, August 20).

Dr Hendry is the first Labour leader of the council for 13 years, taking the reins of power in mid-May after his party won an outright majority.

The mainstay of Labour's campaign was to clean up Carlisle and a hit squad was promised to target dog fouling, litter, fly tipping, graffiti and chewing gum.

But there are plenty of other topics. They include, the redevelopment of Carlisle Airport, a new Carlisle United football stadium, the possible use of the Central Plaza Hotel as student accommodation, ditching ‘The Great Border City’ tag and rebranding Carlisle as the 'Knowledge City', scrapping plans to bulldoze the Rickergate area.

Or, you may have a question about the benefits of the Olympic Torch's visit to the city or the arrival in Carlisle next month of the Tour of Britain cycle race.
