Stobart Group considering bond issue

Stobart Group is said to be considering raising £25m in the City with a bond issue.

The bond issue would help finance the company's continued expansion including the development of Carlisle Airport and city commentators expect it to offer a return of around 5.5 per cent.

The bond issue will allow Stobart to retire some of its existing bank loans from M&G and keep its average interest rate at 5 per cent.

Stobart has yet to make an official announcement on the bond issue, but it has been widely touted by finanical pundits who regard it as a good investment should it materialise.
