Cumbrian businesses looking for finance are being urged to attend an event next month organised by the North West Fund.

The Fund provides finance packages between £50,000 and £2 million to small and medium sized businesses in the region.

It is has been organising a series of events across the North West under the banner of ‘Inspire and Grow’ in conjunction with the Institute of Directors and on July 12th it will be Cumbria’s turn to hear about its work.

The business breakfast event at the Whitewater Hotel, Newby Bridge and will see two of the region’s leading entrepreneurs reveal the secrets behind their own growth stories.

Introducing the Fund will be Andy Leach of the North West Fund. Also speaking will be Judy Pearson, director at EcoLogic Living. Judy secured £500,000 investment from The North West Fund for Energy and Environmental. The business is based in Carlisle and is a reseller and installer of renewable energy, heat and power generation technologies.

A spokesman said: “Whether you are accessing finance to open up overseas markets, strengthen your management team, boost your marketing profile, invest in new equipment or simply build the business that you’ve always wanted, raising capital can seem like a daunting prospect.

“This event will show you ambitious entrepreneurs how the North West Fund can help.”
