An Allerdale networking event has proven so popular that organisers have increased capacity to let extra businesses attend.
The first Allerdale Business Connections meeting for 2013 will take place at the Market Hall in Wigton on January 31st, and is set to focus on top marketing tips to develop business this year.
Speaking at the event is networking and marketing expert Michelle Masters. She set up the successful cumbriahour on Twitter and has been hotly tipped as one to watch in 2013.
The meeting is set to be packed with a variety of businesses which include Agricultural Merchants, cake makers, clothing retailers as well as renewable energy companies and health specialists.
Michelle Masters said: “At the event I plan to give businesses an insight how to monitor their marketing as well as learning how to successfully market their business or event. It’s based on first-hand experience and covers tips on things like networking, general marketing and social media.
“I hope that by the end of the session, participants will have enough armour to evolve their businesses during the year”.
The event is one in a series of networking events funded by Allerdale Borough Council and managed by Britain’s Energy Coast. The events are organised throughout the year and focus on a different business area each time.
Shelly Gambles, Business Support Manager at Britain's Energy Coast added: “Allerdale Business Connections attracts a diverse range of businesses from across the district - as can be seen by the current list of companies already signed up to attend.
“We want people to network across our area as well as across business sectors so we are encouraged to see so many coming to the Wigton venue. Marketing is always a key topic and we are pleased to have the founder of Cumbria Hour as our speaker.”
