Cumbria Day: Details announced

The itinerary and businesses involved with Cumbria Day - a special event hosted in the Houses of Parliament by six Cumbrian MPs - has been revealed.
Cumbria Day will be held next Wednesday and is already being widely advertised within Westminster.
It will give a selection of Cumbrian businesses a chance to market and promote themselves to a wide audience of MPs, Lords and guests from the tourism industry.
Those lucky enough to be involved and represent the county include: Grasmere gingerbread, Thornby Moor Dairy, Heaves Farm Veal, Coniston Brewery, Sillfield, Agnes Rose, Hawkshead Relish, More? Artisan, Appleby Creamery, HM Haverigg, Cranston’s Butchers, Bells of Lazonby, Dalemain Marmalade Festival, Lake District Cheese Company, Jennings Brewery, Greens Bakers and Confectioners, Ulverston Brewing Company, Hawkshead Brewery, Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding, First milk, Hardknot Brewery, The Toffee Shop, United Biscuits.
The events of the day will run as follows:
10.30am A Late Breakfast - Open to all members to attend - Breakfast snacks served and guests welcomed: networking
11.00am Introductory Session - Open to all members to attend
• Welcome address: Creating “Team Cumbria”: Eric Robson, Chairman of Cumbria Tourism
• Hosts’ Response: All Cumbria MPs introduced and speak briefly on their “patch” and opportunities provided by an Associate Parliamentary Group.
• Planning for Partnership: George Beveridge, Chairman of the Cumbria LEP, speaks on how MPs can help Cumbria’s internal/infrastructural plan to develop.

12.00 Prime Minister’s Questions (30/40 minute interlude)
12.45 Cumbrian Lunch - Open to all members to attend - Lunch served and guests welcomed: networking
13.30 Core Session - Open to all members to attend
