Armstrong Watson expands with Skipton merger

Cumbrian finance firm Armstrong Watson has acquired a Skipton accountancy business as part of its expansion plans for the area.
Merging Robertshaw Myers into its business now now makes Armstrong Watson the largest Chartered accountants and Financial Advisers in the area. The overall group grows to 400 employees across 14 offices in the North of England and South Scotland and will now have a combined turnover in excess of £20M.
All 18 staff and five Partners from Robertshaw Myers will be joining the established Armstrong Watson team and the office will be headed up by the existing Managing Partner of Robertshaw Myers; Michael Bottomley and supported by Armstrong Watsons current Skipton Operational Director; Robert Whitehead.
Armstrong Watsons Managing Partner Paul Dickson said: "Robertshaw Myers is an incredibly well respected firm across the region and there was a clear synergy with how we both approached our services to clients.
“The combined knowledge from both offices will continue to develop Armstrong Watson’s position in Skipton and the Aire Valley and I know we will have a strengthened team focused on providing private individuals, fast growing start-ups and established businesses across the region with the right financial advice".
