Car manufacturing giant General Motors has awarded a Cumbrian research company a second, five year contract, worth over £500,000 to look at their customer care.
Teams based at Intersperience’s offices at Sandside, near Milnthorpe and Lancaster University will interview a thousand GM Vauxhall and Opel owners per month across 15 countries, over the five year period. The multi-lingual researchers will carry out phone and email surveys of customers in 14 different languages. The results will be used by GM to help them meet their target of being the best for customer satisfaction.
The contract secures 35 local jobs.
Commenting on the new deal, Intersperience’s CEO Paul Hudson said: "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. It’s a vote of confidence in the work we’ve already been doing for General Motors over the last six years. We have a wealth of research experience which means we can both provide value for money and deal with a complex international study."
Intersperience has also just completed two, one year research projects for a Spanish firm looking to enter the UK’s renewable energy solution market and a syndicated research project looking at the under 18’s use of digital technology.
