Great times for spring water company

WILLOW Water, natural spring water from the English Lake District, has been nominated as a North West “great” in The Great Exhibition 2012.

The Great Exhibition 2012 has been flying the flag for “Great” Britain encouraging the British public to support their regions by voting for what they believe to be “great” culturally and commercially in their area.

The Great Exhibition 2012 CEO, Julie Benson said: “2012 truly is the year to remind ourselves and rejoice in all that is great about Great Britain in the 21st Century.

“The Great Exhibition 2012 is about capturing the desire to celebrate Britain as a whole and to highlight all our Great British achievements whilst we have the eyes of the world upon us. We want the British public to have their say as to what they think is great and vote to support and celebrate all the greats in the country to find the Best in Britain winners in 2012”.

Willow Water is flying the flag the North West, representing the region’s beauty and emphasising its Lake District heritage.

Willow Water is bottled at the source from the famous “Holy Well of Cartmel” in the Lake District and provides fresh, great-tasting water renowned locally as far back as the 12th Century.

Filtered through what was once a White Willow forest, and limestone, Willow has a unique mineral composition, including calcium and salicin.

Commercial Director at Willow, Ron Young, said: “We are delighted to be nominated in The Great Exhibition 2012 and represent the North West in a year to be proud of all things British.

“The past 12 months have been successful for Willow Water, implementing new branding and packaging in addition to a PR and marketing campaign, and recently signing a distribution deal with Tesco to become available in over 100 stores in the North West.

“Our Lake District heritage is something we are very proud of and it would be fantastic to be recognised as a North West ‘great’.”
