Former Dalton eacher makes bold move to finance job

A FORMER Dowdales teacher has been doing his sums after swapping teaching for financial advice.

When Jonathan Walkingshaw was given poor mortgage advice he ditched his job to train as a financial advisor.

With a young family to support, the father-of-four found his forte by helping clients manage their cash.

The 36-year-old former geography teacher has now joined Professional Financial Centre Cumbria, offering bespoke independent services across the county, including Furness and Millom.

Mr Walkingshaw said: “My outlook has always been that if I had any spare time, I’d spend it wisely.

“It’s the same premise for people who want the best for their hard-earned money.

“After six years in the industry, making money work is my passion.”
