NATIONS of the world were represented in a small corner of Ulverston when children took part in an Olympic-themed sports day.
Pupils at Ulverston C of E Infant School in Church Walk waved flags of different countries aloft, as they marched on to the school field for a day of competitive fun.
They spent the morning taking part in a number of team activities, including long jump, high jump and goal scoring, before going head to head in the individual running event for the afternoon session.
The honours were spread fairly evenly among the teams, with the children representing China emerging as the overall winners.
Every child who took part in the Olympic sports day received a special medal to commemorate the event.
