Carlisle solicitors receive mark of quality

A firm of solicitors has been awarded a gold standard for its work in the house-buying process.

Bendles Solicitors, of Portland Square, Carlisle, is now a member of the prestigious Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), a mark of excellence.

The group underwent rigorous assessment by the Law Society in order to secure CQS status which marks the firm out as meeting high standards in the residential conveyancing process – the branch of law concerned with the preparation of documents for the transferring of property.

Jonty Hanlon, a partner in the practice, said: “Bendles is delighted to have secured the CQS status.

“It is recognition of the high standards we provide to our residential property clients at what is often a stressful time for people.”

Becoming a member of the CQS is only open to members of the Law Society who meet the demanding standards set by the scheme.

It has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, the Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.
