The potential for economic growth in Allerdale will be one of the topics to be discussed at an in-Cumbria Business Breakfast event this month.
Allerdale’s head of economic development Nik Hardy will set out the council’s new strategy for economic growth.
There will also be presentations from Sally Phillips of Chimney Sweep and Joanne Holborn of Baines Wilson who will brief businesses on the legal pitfalls of social media.
The Business Breakfast, brought to you by Connecting Cumbria, is a free event at Lakes College, Workington.
Between 8:00am and 10:30am on Friday January 27. Delegates are invited to share in the conversation and discuss ideas for how businesses can make the most of the new year.
The event is being hosted by in-Cumbria in association with Connecting Cumbria which has rolled out superfast broadband across the county.
Phil Ruston, digital inclusion project manage for Connecting Cumbria, said he hoped businesses would make the most of the opportunity.
He added: “Using online tools can be a way to cut costs and support investment and hopefully it will be an opportunity for small businesses across Cumbria to start to explore ways of collaborating.”
The business breakfast is also sponsored by the commercial law firm Baines Wilson.
