Kendal based business A-Digital has been integral in the relaunch of an e-commerce website for one of the largest type design businesses in the United Kingdom.

The new site for Jeremy Tankard Typography includes numerous bespoke features which allow visitors to their website to test and download full demos of each font.

A-Digital have produced the back-end functionality, which includes product listings, pricing, licensing, digital delivery and order management in partnership with London based consultancy, Jones Lafuente.

Director of the Kendal business, Andrew Armitage said: "It's been a huge privilege to work with such a distinguished type designer.

"We've loved the challenge of building the complex processes that make testing and buying the fonts so simple."

Jeremy Tankard Typography was established in the 1990's and was one of the first digital foundries.

Mr Tankard said: "It became increasingly obvious that our site had to be redeveloped from the ground up.

"We pushed hard for a fresh approach, opting for a clear interface with a clear language."

He added: "A-Digital's involvement was core to linking our ideas together. It takes a huge amount of skill and experience to make something so complex appear so simple and effortless.

"A-Digital rose to the challenge, and I am immensely happy with the final result."

Other clients of A-Digital include Windermere Lake Cruises, Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, and Brathay Trust.
