Renowned restaurant L'Enclume in Cartmel, have been nominated in the Best Restaurant category at the Bay Living Awards.

Simon Rogan has developed an inventive cooking style that has led to several awards, including Michelin stars.

Mr Rogan opened L'Enclume, which also has accommodation, in 2002.

His senior team includes managing director David Simms, Sam Ward who is operations manager, and Marcus Noack the group executive chef.

The restaurant currently holds two Michelin stars, and was named the Good Food Guide’s top restaurant in 2017.

Mr Rogan said: "One of L’Enclume’s main principals is dedication to our local and varied produce.

"We are delighted to be shortlisted for The Bay Living Awards which celebrate the wonderful diversity of the north west."

Mr Rogan has recently been named the AA Chef of the Year for 2017, and is holder of five AA Rosettes at L’Enclume.

The Bay Living Awards, run by CN Group, parent company of in-cumbria and inTheBay, has its ceremony at Lancaster University on September 7.
