Winner: Sharrow Bay Hotel,
SHARROW Bay Hotel has been voted 'best hotel restaurant' in the North by the general public in the Food Awards England 2016.
The country house hotel overlooking Ullswater beat five other finalists, including the Michelin-starred Samling, near Windermere, to clinch the prize at an awards ceremony at the Manchester Mercure Piccadilly Hotel.
This is only the third time that the Food Awards England have been held. They celebrate the best in food hospitality, the servers, the specialists and suppliers.
