Businesses across Cumbria are being given the opportunity to learn more about the new Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund at an event in September.

Experts who provide debt and equity capital to businesses at all stages of their development will offer guidance and advice on how businesses can access some of the £400 million worth of funding that has been made available to companies based in the north of England.

FW Capital manages £102 million of the regional war chest, made specifically available to help SMEs grow utilising debt finance. FW Capital Investment Executive Maria Ramsdale has organised the event to emphasise the opportunities for businesses in Cumbria.

She said: “There is a significant amount of funding out there for SMEs, and given the make-up of the business landscape in Cumbria and the significant opportunities now and on the horizon, the NPIF really can help them kick on.”

The event will also include representatives from Maven Capital Partners, Business Finance Solutions, IGF Group, Napthens Solicitors and Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership.

It will take place at the Cumbria LEP Conference Centre on Thursday, September 14 and includes a networking lunch and the chance to meet representatives from in-cumbria.

To book a place contact Maria Ramsdale on 01768 213074 or maria.ramsdale@fwcapital.co.uk.
