H&H Reeds Printers has moved its entire sign and display division to Milnthorpe, transferring some functions from Carlisle.

The aim is to consolidate the business, bringing together the firm’s specialist knowledge and expertise of the signage industry under one roof.

The Milnthorpe site, in Park Road, will make everything from bespoke signs to exhibition and marketing material.

H&H Reeds Printers’ customer base spans the North West, although 20 per cent of its work comes from out outside the region with customers as far away as the Falkland Islands.

Andy Jackson, managing director, said: “We have built up our sign and exhibition division in recent years through two the sites at Milnthorpe and Carlisle. “By bringing the team together on one site it has allowed us to combine resources under one roof, improving efficiency, whilst continuing to deliver the excellent level of knowledge and standard of workmanship that our customers have come to know us for. “We are very much a one-stop shop for anything to do with print, and as the leading printer in Cumbria, this move further strengthens our business.”

The announcement comes only weeks after the firm invested more than £250,000 in new equipment and facilities, including a state-of-the-art digital printing press and stitching line at its Penrith plant.

H&H Reeds employs 45 people and is a subsidiary of H&H Group, the Carlisle-based auctioneering-to-insurance business.
