ENERGY engineering firm Delkia has expanded with two new appointments.

The Cleator Moor company has welcomed Will Coulthard as principal power engineer and Stewart Watkins as the company’s managing director.

Mr Coulthard, a chartered engineer, joins the firm from Jacobs. He has years of experience working in the industry and trained as an electrical apprentice at Sellafield and worked in different areas of the site before studying for a master’s degree in power engineering.

His move to Delkia was motivated by his passion for the challenges of working in the power engineering industry.

He will lead all power-related programmes of work at Delkia as well as supporting the wider engineering teams.

Mr Watkins brings with him over 30 years of experience working in the civil nuclear and pharmaceutical industries.

He moved from Doosan Babcock, where he was a senior project manager.

Originally from Dorset, Mr Watkins moved to Cumbria in 2010 to be at the heart of the nuclear activity and the supply chain.

Based at Leconfield Industrial Estate, Delkia was established by the consultancy Safety Critical in 2014 as an engineering division.

Clients include contracting giants NG Bailey and nuclear heavyweights. It develops and produces bespoke control panels for the control of pumps, motors and machinery.
