CUMBRIA'S last candidate has been fired from The Apprentice.

In the taxi after being fired by Lord Sugar, Rebecca Jeffery, of Asby near Lamplugh, said: "I feel sad to have left. I think other people in the process have done less than me, they just happen to have been on winning sides."

Rebecca was on the losing team for the sixth time in a row this week - and never actually won a task.

Rebecca, who now lives in Altrincham running a marketing company, thanked Lord Sugar and said her time on the show had been a "great experience".

She was warned by the business tycoon last week that she had one more chance to prove herself after being on the losing team a disappointing five times.

But after being on the losing team for a sixth week in a row this week, Rebecca was brought back into the boardroom once again.

The task for teams on the show was discount buying through the night. Candidates met Lord Sugar at the View on the 69th floor of the Shard where they were told at sunset that they would have to work a night shift.

The two teams had to pull an all nighter to buy a total of nine items, including an American pool cue and Robusto cigars, by dawn in London. The team which spent the least, won.

Unfortunately due to poor negotiation skills and the fact that her team did not buy two items, for which they were fined, Rebecca's team spent £100 more than the other team.

Rebecca also had a rather large communication fail and wasted an hour and a half on a fool's errand.

Although she thought a retailer said he had tagine and African Black Soap, he had neither of the items and showed her soup instead of soap.

Before Rebecca returned to the boardroom, Lord Sugar's adviser Karren Brady commented that she was very sincere and obviously tries very hard.

Fellow adviser Claude Littner said: "People don't respect her."

Lord Sugar had few positive things to say to Rebecca when she returned to the boardroom alongside Trishna and Sofiane Khelfa.

He was not impressed with her soap/soup mess up and the fact that yet again she hadn't taken up the role of project manager.

Rebecca defended herself saying: "My background is not negotiation and I don't have a really good knowledge of London. And when Trishna moved over to our team she seemed like a very natural choice as a project manager."

She said the second there was a task that was relevant to her skills she would be project manager but Lord Sugar said there might not be a chance.

Trishna said she had brought Rebecca back into the room because her fool's errand had wasted time and led to them failing the task.

When summing up Lord Sugar said he had to think about people going forward in the show but also people's past performance and on that basis, he fired Rebecca.
