James Cropper is expecting its results for the year up to April 2017 to be ahead of previous expectations.
The company, based at Burneside near Kendal, has experienced healthy sales growth across both the paper and Technical Fibre Products businesses and expects that the year’s results will be better than expected.
James Cropper has also found that changes in the value of the pound has been favourable to the export side of the business.
Growth is expected across the paper business, the Technical Fibre Products business and the newly developed 3DP division.
The 3DP business is still under construction.
Doug Mitchell, a non-executive director of James Cropper for five years, is also set to retire at the end of the month.
Mr Mitchell’s role will be filled in the coming months.
