A Cumbrian accountancy firm has been named the best in the North West.

Kendal-based Lamont Pridmore was named as the Accountancy Firm of the Year (Up to five partners) at this year’s North West Finance Awards.

The independent judging panel said that Lamont Pridmore had impressed them “with their excellent client relationship building”, which had “underlined strong organic fee growth and income performance,” adding that the firm had “a very impressive customer satisfaction record.”

Graham Lamont, chief executive of Lamont Pridmore, which has seven offices in Cumbria, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this prestigious award and it is so nice to hear the glowing comments from the judges.

“We feel this award truly reflects our position in the region and is a clear demonstration of the exceptional work our accountants conduct on behalf of the business community and individuals in the North West”

The awards ceremony, held at Bolton’s Macron Stadium, saw sixteen awards presented to the best unsung heroes of business, with Lamont Pridmore beating five other finalists to take home their title.

Chris Lamont, a partner at Lamont Pridmore, added: “This year saw fierce competition for the award from a number of excellent firms, which makes our success even more impressive.”
