Carlisle based business law firm Baines Wilson LLP is running an Employment Law Update seminar on 26 April 2016 at Rheged near Penrith.

It is aimed at employers who want to keep up to date with the latest changes in employment law.

Two hot topics that will be covered include how to ensure that your company is not sponsoring modern slavery and also how to meet the challenges of an ageing workforce since the retirement age of 65 was scrapped.

Joanne Holborn, Head of Employment Law and Training said: “Our seminars are important to keep employers ahead the ever changing arena of employment law. At this seminar we will be covering how to manage poor performance, dealing with an ageing workforce, having “off the record” conversations, bonuses and employee benefits as well as updating attendees on the latest changes to legislation and case law.”

Baines Wilson’s Employment Team will all be presenting at the seminar and delegates will have the opportunity to ask the experts any issues affecting their business. Joanne said: “Employment law is ever changing so it is important that HR professionals and business owners keep up to date with the latest developments.”

The seminars will be hosted by the Employment & Training Team at Baines Wilson LLP. Delegates will have the opportunity to ask any questions during the course of the seminar and to network with HR professionals and business owners.
